Take a closer look at our SPC-w051 [OCF3]-Transfer Reagent 4-cyano-1-(trifluoromethoxy)pyridin-1-ium bistriflimide
Hot off the press!
One exciting new reagent developed in the group of Prof. Togni at ETH-Zürich
(Jelier et al. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2018, https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.201806296)
This bench-stable reagent was designed for late-stage introduction of OCF3substituents on arenes and is mediated by a photoredox catalyst. It is not only the first photoredox reaction that affords the OCF3, it is also really simple to set up AND the first way to liberate an OCF3 radical … really cool stuff!
It tolerates a large range of substrates and functional groups. SpiroChem is proud to be the first to commercialize it! We can also offer to perform the reaction for you through our premium service offering.
