Business Developer - Europe

To further strengthen our ambitious global business development activities, we are looking to hire a Business Developer. Your main role will be to develop and expand SpiroChem´s partnerships with companies in Europe, notably in the main biotech clusters.

You have been trained as a chemist, but have realized that you really enjoy selling, negotiating and building relationships with clients much more than working in the lab. You are a target driven, self-motivated, hardworking individual with a proven business development track record. Job Responsibilities

• Further develop SpiroChem’s business activities and relationships in Europe
• Target key European biotech clusters: companies, strategic partners, incubators, events etc.
• Identify and build business relationships with new potential clients
• Connect and manage relationships between clients and chemists at SpiroChem
• Manage and further develop existing client relationships and business with key accounts
• Facilitate troubleshooting and problem-solving during drug discovery collaborations with clients
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in drug discovery and identify new areas of business growth
• Meet or exceed mutually established business development goals

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD degree in chemistry
• Min. 3 years of relevant industry work experience. Direct experience with the biotech industry and/or CRO experience will be a plus
• Experience with B2B business
• Able to communicate with people at all levels, especially at the level of CEO, CSO or VP chemistry
• Has a good network in the European biotech sector
• Good knowledge of drug discovery
• Excellent project management skills
• Be known for your ability to open doors, persuade and convince
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Fluency in English and German
• Able to travel (approx. 30%)
